| What a Scotsman wears under his Kilt....
This now famous photograph was taken in Hong
Kong in 1994 on the day that the Black Watch performed its last duties as Garrison before
sovereignty was formally handed back to the People's Republic of China - It certainly is a
unique way of "cocking a snook" at the incoming government! The photo appeared
on the front page of almost every newspaper in the world, and has gone done in the annals
of Regimental history... (Incidentally, the Black Watch also had the honour of being the
last British regiment to leave Pakistan after independance in 1948).
